Felix Varela Senior High School is a public high school located at 15255 SW 96th ST in The Hammocks area of Miami-Dade County. Felix Varela is 89% Hispanic, 7% White non-Hispanic, 3% Black, and 1% Asian. As of 2023, the school had approximately 2,000 students.

Patrick Ledan has been with the program for over 15 years and became head coach of the Football program in 2017. An MDCPS graduate, Coach Ledan has an undergraduate degree from Florida State University and graduate degrees from Florida International University. He has won the Double-Goal Coach Award from the Positive Coaching Alliance and received an Honorable mention for the NFL Flag in-School Coach of the Year Award. Under his leadership, Viper Athletes have earned over half a million dollars in athletic and academic scholarships to various universities across the country.
