Here are the steps we need you to take before you can join us.
We encourage you to complete them as soon as possible so that we can get you onto the field and into the action.
Complete the Athletic Physical Packet
Packet is available in the Athletic office or online at Athletics Documents and Links – Felix Varela Senior High (varelahighschool.net)
FREE Physicals are held twice a year at Varela. Be sure to follow us on social media for that information (@Viper.Football and @Viper_Athletics)
Bring the completed physical with all the signatures, and notarization to the Athletics Office (Main Office-Office 34)
We will check GPA to ensure you meet the 2.0 requirement for athletic eligibility.
Purchase School Insurance
After you have been cleared by athletics, you will be given a paper with instructions on how to purchase Football Insurance.
This insurance is mandatory, even if you already have private insurance.

In the meantime, we encourage you to begin completing the three mandatory courses for athletic participation available on NFHSLearn.com and start looking for a birth certificate or passport, which are required to participate.
